Tempo has expanded its Tempo Earn offering with two additional yield-bearing assets, PRIME and wYLDS, minted through the Hastra protocol. The integration gives platforms developing stablecoin-based treasury, payment, card, and savings products more options for incorporating returns into customer-facing financial services.
The update adds exposure to credit-based returns and decentralized finance yield products alongside assets already supported by Tempo Earn. The initiative connects Figure’s real-world lending infrastructure with Hastra’s tokenization capabilities and Tempo’s platform for integrating yield into financial applications.
The addition of PRIME and wYLDS allows eligible platforms to select yield assets based on customer needs, liquidity requirements, geographic eligibility, and risk preferences without building separate infrastructure for each product.
PRIME and wYLDS Link DeFi With Real-World Lending
The two assets are connected to Figure’s Democratized Prime marketplace, which links lenders with pools of real-world loans. Figure operates a blockchain-based capital marketplace focused on bringing lending, funding, and real-world asset markets onto blockchain networks.
Hastra, a protocol developed in partnership with Figure, provides a mechanism for making these assets available within decentralized finance. Users can mint wYLDS through Hastra and stake them to receive PRIME, creating a connection between the underlying lending activity and blockchain-based yield products.
Both tokens are bridged to Tempo using Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol, which facilitates transfers between supported blockchain networks.
PRIME’s returns are tied to Figure’s home equity line of credit lending operations. Its yield can fluctuate depending on borrower demand and the utilization of lending pools, meaning returns are not necessarily fixed over time.
Tempo cites an indicative annual percentage yield of approximately 7%. The estimate is based on the token’s net asset value change over the preceding 24 hours and accounts for a 50-basis-point Hastra fee. The figure should be treated as an indicative rate rather than a guaranteed return, particularly because lending activity and market conditions can change.
Redemption and Liquidity Considerations
PRIME holders can unstake without a fixed lock-up period and redeem the asset for wYLDS. However, redemption and conversion into other assets depend on the network, the route used to access the product, and available liquidity.
The reported liquidity in the Uniswap PRIME pool is approximately $25 million. This provides a reference point for market access, although available liquidity can change and does not guarantee that every transaction can be completed at a desired price.
The asset is available to eligible customers globally, subject to local restrictions. Geographic availability, redemption conditions, and the risks associated with the underlying lending activity remain important considerations for platforms deciding whether to offer the assets to their users.
Tempo Earn Lets Platforms Customize Yield Products
Tempo says the appropriate yield asset depends on how customers use their funds, how quickly they may need access to their balances, where they reside, and their tolerance for risk.
A payment card program, for example, may prioritize immediate access to funds for everyday spending. A treasury or savings product may place greater emphasis on earning returns linked to real-world lending. PRIME and wYLDS give platforms additional choices for balancing these different requirements.

Through Tempo Earn, participating platforms can determine which assets to offer, how rewards are divided between the platform and customers, and how funds move between earning, spending, payouts, and withdrawals.
The expanded offering is designed to help financial platforms integrate yield into customer products while retaining control over supported assets, reward distribution, and fund movement.
Tempo Zones provide tools intended to keep balances and activity private, while account policies and transfer controls govern how funds can move. Transaction fees are denominated in stablecoins, removing the need for users to hold a separate token specifically to pay network fees.
Three Providers Support the Integration
The arrangement assigns distinct roles to the participating infrastructure providers. Figure supplies the lending marketplace and underlying credit activity, Hastra manages asset minting and access, and Tempo connects the resulting assets to customer-facing financial products.
The integration reflects a broader effort to connect blockchain-based financial applications with returns generated by real-world assets. Its practical value will depend on platform adoption, the availability of liquidity, the performance of underlying lending pools, and the ability of participating services to meet regulatory and operational requirements.
For platforms building stablecoin-based financial products, the new assets offer additional ways to structure yield features. However, indicative returns, redemption flexibility, and market liquidity should be assessed alongside the risks associated with credit exposure and decentralized finance infrastructure.
