Minister Tinku Roy meets bereaved family, assures justice in Jubarajnagar double murder case

Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Tinku Roy on Thursday visited the family of the two brothers who were brutally murdered at West Dewanpasha village under the Jubarajnagar Assembly constituency on the night of Maha Ashtami, assuring them of the government's full support and a fair investigation to ensure justice.

During his visit, the Minister met the grieving family members and expressed deep condolences over the tragic loss. He reiterated that the state government stands firmly beside the victims' family during this difficult period and promised that all necessary measures would be taken to bring those responsible for the crime to justice.

Addressing the family, Roy said that strict legal action would be taken against every individual involved in the incident and that the administration remains committed to ensuring exemplary punishment for the perpetrators. He emphasised that securing justice for the bereaved family is a priority and that the government would closely monitor the progress of the case.

"I extend my heartfelt sympathies and solidarity to the bereaved family. The government is committed to ensuring that the culprits are punished in accordance with the law, and every possible step will be taken to provide justice to the victims' family," the Minister said.

The visit comes in the aftermath of the shocking double murder that has sent shockwaves across the region. Taking serious note of the incident, Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha has already directed authorities to conduct a thorough, impartial and transparent investigation into the killings. He has instructed law enforcement agencies to ensure that the guilty are identified and prosecuted in accordance with the law.

Police have meanwhile made significant progress in the investigation by arresting the prime accused in connection with the case. Investigators are continuing their probe to uncover all aspects of the crime and determine whether others were involved in the murders.

The brutal killing of the two brothers during the festive period has triggered widespread concern among local residents, with demands for swift justice growing louder.
