ID Finance in Spain has closed €545 million in combined equity and debt for its consumer finance platform Plazo. The round was led by international investors Spice Expeditions, WashU, Kingsway Capital, and i80 Group.
The exact split between equity and debt in this round has not been disclosed. Repeat investor i80 Group is known to have provided asset-based financing in this round, after providing $150 million (then around €138.21 million) in debt in 2024.
Since that time, ID Finance says it has nearly doubled its profit in 2025, when the group recorded €243 million in revenue. Plazo achieved 300% year-on-year revenue growth during this period, now reaching over 400,000 users.
ID Finance says it now wants Plazo to achieve the same rate of growth in 2026 with its new debt and equity package, supported specifically by "AI-powered technology infrastructure". Plazo first reached bottom-line profitability at the end of 2025.

The funding follows ID Finance's launch of its Turrón by Plazo flexible payment solution in July. Turrón combines an e-money account, debit card, and buy now, pay later (BNPL) solution.
ID Finance says it is now working to expand its network of partner merchants for Turrón. German asset manager NordIX came to support ID Finance with a €21 million debt facility in September.
