Not every great sneaker release has to reinvent footwear. In fact, adidas seems to be at its strongest when it doesn't. While every other brand is busy chasing the next viral trends or shocking collaboration, the Three Stripes continues to expand on their world of performance and design. From terrace classics to futuristic runners and streetwear favorites, they're all part of the same conversation now.
In this instalment of our our weekly lineup of adidas releases, find proof that adidas offers great design week by week. From an unstructured running icon to a tacti-cool leather dress sneaker, and a casual terrace classic — this week was so full of standouts we couldn't decide on one and picked... seven of them.
Please note: Some sneakers may sell out at speed.

SL72 SONG FOR THE MUTE SHOES
Release Date: Available Now
Editor's Notes: Unstructured but still a standout, this Song for the Mute SL72 pays homage to fashion’s favorite pastime: running. Available in playful teal and triple-white colorways, it delivers a well-worn aesthetic without the hard miles. The SL72 strikes a balance between comfort and considered design. And like so many plush dad shoes before it, this running silhouette is destined for fashion week.
adidas x Arte GSG9 Sneaker
Release Date: October 15
Editor's Notes: Corporate fashion’s best-kept secret, the dressed-up leather sneaker is the perfect replacement for a tired loafer or derby. Antwerp’s Arte has reimagined the famous special forces boot for the natural wine bar, paring its full-leather upper and performance sole down to a sleek, minimal collaboration. The overlap between elite soldiers and fashion elitists is small, but clearly not zero.
Bad Bunny Gazelle Indoor
Release Date: October 17
Editor's Notes: With one of the most underrated, long-standing collaborations in sneakers right now, the Puerto Rican prince is back to put another personal spin on an everyday staple. In solar yellow, this Gazelle is suitably playful, from its asymmetric toe box and detachable tongue details to the size sticker on the heel tab. This daily driver is just weird enough to become a furry favorite.
ADIZERO ADIOS PRO 5 SHOES
Release Date: Available Now
Editor's Notes: Just in time for the great winter lock-in, the Adizero Adios Pro 5 is a running shoe that sends all the right signals. Designed to go the distance, the Adizero line has been leading the pack at the world’s major marathons. In racing green with gold accents, this sock-lined pacer practically earns Strava kudos straight out of the box.
Samba OG - Mercedes-Benz
Release Date: Available Now
Editor's Notes: Sleek, minimal, and effortlessly luxe, this is adidas and Mercedes-Benz making an S-Class for your feet. Keeping things understated, Mercedes-Benz lets the iconic Samba silhouette do the talking, simply adding its three-pointed star to the tongue. Available in a trio of luxurious shades, it’s German design squared for a fraction of a car’s price.
SAMBA OG SFTM Shoes
Release Date: October 16
Editor's Notes: For the second part of this ongoing collaboration, Song for the Mute takes Samba season even more low-profile. Of the trio of tonal designs, the black version offers the most subversive take on the icon, with a collapsible heel and faux-nubuck upper. Could this plush spin on the classic be this winter’s perfect sneaker-slip-on hybrid?
LIVERPOOL F.C. SPZL KIRKDALE II Shoes
Release Date: Available Now
Editor's Notes: The definition of a terrace casual classic. Aspden’s SPZL sub-label is back with a Liverpool collaboration that doubles as a love letter to the originators of casual subculture. In clean tonal gray with red and teal accents throughout, this classic silhouette recalls the heyday of sartorially minded football fans.
