Defense Minister Khawaja Asif is being mocked online again after reacting to what appears to be an AI-generated post on X (formerly Twitter).
Asif recently quote-posted a viral spam puzzle from an AI bot account asking users to spot “the one thing that doesn’t belong in 1956.”
The AI-generated spam post shows Marilyn Monroe on a street lined with vintage cars, wearing a modern smartwatch. No one has any idea why Khawaja Asif is taking so much interest in such kind of posts.

Social media users were quick to poke fun at the defense minister for engaging with what appeared to be AI-generated engagement bait. The incident has added to criticism of his activity on X, where he has repeatedly drawn attention for his posts and interactions.
This is not the first time Asif has raised eyebrows over content on the platform.
Users have also criticized his frequent engagement with memes and questionable viral content, arguing that such activity is unbecoming of a senior government official.
The irony is hard to miss. In August, Pakistan’s Information Ministry had to debunk an AI-voiced deepfake video that falsely showed Asif praising India.
