Chicago Bears TE Colston Loveland recorded seven receptions, 69 yards, and a touchdown against the New England Patriots in Week 7. He was targeted a game-high 12 times.
Why It Matters: Coming off his best game of the season (6-65-1), Loveland saw his numbers tick up on Thursday night with seven catches for 69 yards and a score. It wasn't all positives for the second-year tight end, though, as he had a couple of bad drops. Perhaps the biggest thing that happened, however, was the injury to Cole Kmet (knee), who was carted off with a knee injury. Based on post-game comments from Ben Johnson, this doesn't sound like another Caleb Williams situation where it's not as bad as initially thought. If Kmet is indeed lost for a significant chunk of time, Loveland's role could increase a bit. Bottom line, Loveland is finally starting to put together the kind of numbers that fantasy owners were expecting coming into 2026. He's back to being playable as a midrange TE1.
