A purported audio clip has surfaced following the shooting attack on Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff, with the speaker identifying himself as Anil Pandit, claiming to be an associate of dreaded gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, and claims responsibility for the assassination attempt.
He warns in the audio that anyone associating with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan will be targeted by the Bishnoi gang. The audio clip seems to reiterate the claims in an earlier social media post.
The police, however, were yet to verify their authenticity.
The firing incident took place in Mumbai's Juhu area on Sunday evening. The chain of events leading to the incident is being pieced together, a police official said.
According to the police, Shroff's driver and another driver of an autorickshaw were injured in the incident, police said.
