Cam Ward was thankful for his coaching staff after the Tennessee Titans pulled off a 26-20 upset win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday afternoon.
Ward is going through the second season of his NFL career with the Titans. He looks to get them on a trajectory of promising success, considering Tennessee has been unable to return to their playoff heights earlier in the decade. They’ve since fallen down as a lottery team with one of the worst records in the league.
The start to the 2026 season was brutal for him and the Titans. They lost their first five games of the season, needing a win at some point to avoid a winless campaign.

Ward got his wish as Tennessee finally got its first victory of the season. He reflected on the win after the game. He made sure to thank his coaches, including head coach Robert Saleh, for their level of preparation for each contest they take part in.
“The coaches they prepare us the right way each and every week. No matter the outcome we know we’re the best prepared team in the league,” Ward said on the Fox broadcast.

Tony Pollard led the rushing attack with 19 carries for 76 yards. Carnell Tate led receivers with six catches for 70 yards and a touchdown, while Wan’Dale Robinson caught three passes for 22 yards.
