The Denver Broncos remain confident in Bo Nix despite mounting criticism of their struggling offense. Although Denver has continued to win, the Broncos’ dismal offensive numbers against Seattle have raised concerns about their quarterback’s performance.
According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, Denver has won 18 of Nix’s last 21 starts. Despite the offensive struggles, the organization reportedly maintains confidence in his competitiveness, determination, and ability to improve.
That belief comes after another difficult outing against the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday. Nix completed 17 of 27 passes for just 107 yards without a touchdown or interception.

The Broncos escaped with a 17-14 overtime victory, improving to 4-2 this season. However, their offense produced only 168 total yards and punted on all six second-half possessions.
Denver’s defense ultimately carried the team, with Ja’Quan McMillan recording a crucial overtime interception. Wil Lutz then converted a 53-yard field goal to secure the victory.
The offensive struggles have attracted criticism from several former quarterbacks. Ryan Fitzpatrick questioned Nix’s performance, while Dan Orlovsky previously highlighted problems with his decision-making.
Nix has also acknowledged the team’s inability to consistently generate explosive plays. His concerns reflect an offense struggling to establish rhythm despite Denver’s winning record.
The Broncos’ quarterback has averaged just 4.9 air yards per attempt through six games. That figure ranks last among 701 qualifying quarterback seasons over the past 20 years.
Still, the organization appears unwilling to let recent performances overshadow Nix’s previous success.
The Broncos quarterback previously addressed his struggles, emphasizing the challenge of balancing aggressive throws with protecting possession.
Denver’s confidence remains intact, but Nix faces growing pressure to translate that belief into improved offensive production.
