The Coalition for Media Freedom called state-owned Telekom Srbija to explain why programming by independent local broadcaster TV Forum from Prijepolje was replaced by content from pro-regime TV Informer on its Supernova cable network.

The incident happened on Monday afternoon, when viewers reported that channel 596, normally carrying TV Forum, was showing Informer programming under the TV Prijepolje logo. TV Forum said it had repeatedly contacted the operator but received no explanation. Its program was subsequently restored.
The coalition said Telekom had an obligation to explain what happened and who was responsible. It also questioned the status of TV Prijepolje, saying the outlet was not listed in the Media Register and did not hold a broadcasting license from the Regulatory Body for Electronic Media (REM).
The coalition called the REM to investigate and publish its findings, warning that the incident was particularly concerning just days before the October 25 elections.
