The HMD Vibe 2 Max is set to launch soon as a brand-new mid-range smartphone that promises to impress not only with a modern design, a 108 MP main camera and a 6,000 mAh battery, but also with a particularly bright display without PWM flickering.

HMD Global is expected to expand the Vibe series soon with the Vibe 2 Max. The highly reliable leaker @smashx_60 has now revealed high-resolution images and the key specifications of the mid-range smartphone ahead of its launch. According to the leak, HMD Global is opting for a design clearly inspired by the Apple iPhone 18 Pro, from the red color and rectangular camera module to the slightly textured, rectangular area below this module.
However, the flat plastic frame and the thick chin below the display reveal that this is a more affordable mid-range smartphone. The HMD Vibe 2 Max is expected to offer quite an interesting set of features, as the smartphone reportedly has a 6.78-inch IPS panel with a 1080p+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. While the LCD does not match the contrast ratio of an OLED panel, it is said to be free of PWM flickering, making it easier on the eyes. Its brightness of 1,500 nits should also be decent.
HMD Global is reportedly using a Unisoc T9100 with four Cortex-A76 performance cores and four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. This is paired with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The battery has a capacity of 6,000 mAh and charges via USB-C at up to 33 watts. The HMD Vibe 2 Max reportedly offers a 50 MP selfie camera, a 108 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera. Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, a fingerprint sensor on the side of the chassis, an NFC chip and an IP64 rating round out the mid-range smartphone's features.
