The New York Knicks are incredibly popular, but some of their fans might just be even more famous. Here’s a look at every celebrity present for the ring ceremony on opening night.
The New York Knicks raised the banner for their 2026 NBA championship on Tuesday night. This came ahead of their game against the Philadelphia 76ers, and the celebrities were out in force to watch the stars finally get all their rings.
The Knicks’ star-studded fanbase was a massive part of their run through the playoffs last season. It was as common to see the likes of Ben Stiller and Timothee Chalamet during games as it was seeing Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart. And ring night brought most of the celebs back to the building, with one notable exception.
Harry Styles, Bon Jovi, Spike Lee among many celebrities spotted in New York during Knicks’ ring ceremony
There were more big names in attendance for this than probably ever before at Madison Square Garden. The first mention goes to the longest-serving and most passionate fans. Stiller, Tracy Morgan, Spike Lee, and Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay were all seen celebrating.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell was in attendance, as was Mark Shapiro. Mets owner Steve Cohen was spotted at the game, as was former presidential candidate Chris Christie. Some of music’s biggest names were there too. Fat Joe is a Knicks superfan, but Jon Bon Jovi was in attendance. Of course, Harry Styles’ presence also caught the people’s attention.
Other notable names included Edie Falco, Steve Schirripa, John Turturro, Action Bronson and Sam Morril. Karl-Anthony Towns’ wife Jordyn Woods was also seen courtside during the game. The New York Yankees were also well represented, with Cam Schlittler, Ben Rice, and Jazz Chisholm Jr. in attendance.
Jon Stewart and Mike Tomlin were both seen during the ceremony as well. Despite all these listed names all being there, one absence was the loudest. Dune superstar Chalamet wasn’t at the ceremony, with no public reason given for him not being there.
Still, it is safe to say the stars glittered just as bright as the rings at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night!
