The top four teams in the tournament will advance to the 2027 ODI World Cup Qualifier.
The tournament offers Nepal an opportunity to qualify for the ODI World Cup for the second consecutive time.
However, hosting the tournament in Nepal means the previously scheduled cricket series between Nepal and India A will have to be rescheduled.
According to CAN Secretary Paras Khadka, the revised schedule for the series will be finalized through coordination and mutual agreement between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and CAN.
