Goal! Derry City 1-0 Dundalk (James Clarke 12')We have our first goal of the evening, and it's been scored at the Brandywell.
Candystripes midfielder James Clarke, who began his senior career with Dundalk's Louth rivals Drogheda United, puts the home side ahead with 12 minutes played.
Lilywhites manager Ciarán Kilduff will be absolutely livid with the defending from his side, as it's a comedy of errors at the back that leads to the opener.

The Dublin derby has finally started – this is not a good look for the league
Aidan Fitzmaurice: We are under way in Dalymount, seven minutes late... but only after a warning over the PA that the referee would take the players off the pitch if any more objects were thrown on and an appeal for "behaviour" from fans in the Mono Stand.

Delay to kick-off at Dalymount due to flares on the pitch
Aidan Fitzmaurice: The banner from the Shels fans has a NSFW warning so we won't post it here but fireworks and flares thrown from the Mono Stand will land the Reds with a fine.
Sure enough we have a delay to kick-off here... smoke from flares lit by the home fans needs to clear before the referee will start proceedings but ground staff are still clearing away lit flares thrown on the pitch from the away section.

Hoops boosted by O'Neill's return a year on from cancer diagnosis
Reporting from south-west Dublin, it's Dan McDonnell:
Welcome to Tallaght Stadium where it could be the night that Shamrock Rovers are crowned champions for the sixth time in seven years. If they win here against already relegated Sligo Rovers and Bohemians drop points against Shelbourne, then it will be game over although there will be no trophy presentation tonight if that scenario comes to pass.
The TV screens below the main stand are showing the Bohs v Shels match on Virgin Media and it's possible a few punters may try and head that way in the second half depending on how things are going.
The Hoops have a job to do first and on form they should do it. Injuries and suspensions have affected Bradley's squad, though, with Jack Byrne failing to shake off the injury he sustained in the warm-up last week. Matt Healy, Michael Noonan and Naj Razi are banned. Adam Brennan comes into the side.
One significant piece of team news tonight is that Gary O'Neill is back on the Rovers bench – a year to the day since he was diagnosed with cancer. A significant personal landmark for the Kerryman.

Mid-table meeting at the Brandywell
In a previous era, a Derry City-Dundalk game would be a league decider or a cup final but tonight's game at the Ryan McBride Brandywell is a mid-table affair between two sides out of the race for Europe but safe from relegation.
It's full focus on the FAI Cup final for Derry who make changes. Brian Maher is back in for his first league game since a 5-3 loss to Bohs in August as he looks to try and win back his place for the final.
Mark Connolly has opted to give a start to Michael Duffy and Adam O'Reilly, both first choice when fit, after they missed recent games through injury. Despite their injury woes, Dundalk still have a strong starting XI.
Dundalk man Daryl Horgan is four goals off top spot in the race for the golden boot – can he close the gap in the last two games of the season?

Shels are out to end Gypsies' title hopes
Aidan Fitzmaurice is in Phibsborough this evening:
Good evening from Dalymount Park where Bohs play at home for the last time this season. It's an emotional night as this is the last time that the ground's floodlights, first used in a friendly against Arsenal in 1962, are deployed as they will soon come down as part of the overall rebuild of the ground. Contrary to a popular myth, these are not the old floodlights from Highbury.
Bohs have a lot to play for, aiming to get the win they need as their part of the deal to force the league title race on for another week while Shels will look to damage their title hopes, just as the Reds did to St Pat's last week. Captain Dawson Devoy is out for the rest of the season with suspension (and also injury) but Bohs go with the same XI that beat Waterford here seen days ago.
Shels make two changes, John Martin and JJ Lunney into the XI as Mipo Odubeko and Marco Untergrabner drop out.

Good evening. We’re down to the penultimate round of Premier Division matches, with Shamrock Rovers still in the driving seat despite last week’s defeat at the hands of Galway United.
The reigning champions, who host relegated Sligo Rovers this evening, are three points better off than rivals Bohemians and could potentially wrap up the title with a game to spare.
Alan Reynolds’ men know they cannot afford to slip up as Shelbourne arrive at Dalymount Park for a televised Dublin derby – set to be the final match under the floodlights before the famous ground’s redevelopment next year.
A further three points back on 59 are St Patrick’s Athletic, following losses to Shels and Derry City over the past week. The Saints are at Eamonn Deacy Park as Stephen Kenny and his old adversary John Caulfield prepare to get reacquainted.
Only two points separate Derry City and Dundalk ahead of their meeting at the Ryan McBride Brandywell. You would imagine the Candystripes will have one eye on next month’s FAI Cup final, where they will take on Waterford.
Before then, the Blues have a massive test at home to Drogheda United. The teams are currently level and will both be hellbent on ensuring they don’t finish in the promotion/relegation play-off place.
As always, we’ll have plenty of build-up and regular updates from around the grounds over the next three hours or so.
