The Saudi-led coalition has reported intercepting a ballistic missile launched by Yemen’s Houthi movement.
Al Jazeera reported early Monday, October 12, that the missile was intercepted over Khamis Mushait, in southwestern Saudi Arabia.
According to the report, the announcement came after Saudi Arabia’s Civil Defense issued a warning about a “potential danger” in the nearby city of Abha.
This comes amid reports that Houthi missile attacks on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s capital, have killed at least 16 people and injured hundreds in recent days.
However, in the Houthis’ latest missile attack on the airport, a Pakistani national was killed and several others were injured.
