Jenna Dewan is keeping her head up — and focusing on who is important for Dancing with the Stars' upcoming emotional night.
For Dedication Night, the The Rookie actress will be dancing with Alan Bersten rather than her usual partner Val Chmerkovskiy, who was suspended for one week after comments made seemingly targeting judge Carrie Ann Inaba, who herself had a testy interaction with the pro's wife Jenna Johnson.
The Step Up star hasn't specifically addressed Val's suspension, but did share an emotional tribute eagerly anticipating her dedicated dance in honor of her mom Nancy.

Jenna took to Instagram and shared a slew of photos of herself and her mom throughout the years, proving just how much they look alike.
Photos include not only her mother with her children, but also of Jenna herself as a young child. She shares daughter Everly, 13, with ex-husband Channing Tatum, as well as son Callum, six, and daughter Rhiannon, two, with fiancé Steve Kazee.
"I've been thinking so much on all the things my mom has taught me throughout my life," Jenna wrote. "Not just in what she's said, but in the way she’s lived and the example she's always been for me."

She continued: "To lead with kindness. To give people grace. To be strong without losing your softness. To keep your heart open, even when life doesn't go quite the way you imagined."
"My mom has always been my biggest cheerleader," she added, describing her mom as "the one who believed in me before I even knew what was possible for myself. Who encouraged me to dream big, to keep going, and most importantly, to never lose sight of who I am along the way. And now, all these years and so many chapters of life later, I get to dedicate a dance to her this Tuesday."

Jenna further reflected on the "full circle" moment Dedication Night presents, noting her mom was "the woman who first encouraged my love of dance, through the very thing she helped me fall in love with."

She went on: "As life goes on, the more I realize that some of the greatest gifts our parents give us aren't things at all. They're the values we carry, the love we pass on, and the way we choose to show up in this world."

"And I hope more than anything that I make her proud! Not necessarily through what I do in life, but in the person I am and the way I move through life. Love you so much mom!! This one's for you," the touching tribute concluded.
Fans were then quick to take to the comment section under the post and gush over it, with one writing: "How beautiful of a tribute!" as others followed suit with: "So beautiful. Can't wait to watch!" and: "This is sooo beautiful & you both are so beautiful!! You're gonna have me in tears this week!" as well as: "Oh I love this and can't wait to see you dance this week!"
