Dominican model and former Miss Dominican Republic Universe Andreína Martínez celebrated her debut on the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway, describing the experience as a dream come true despite not winning the brand’s “Angels Among Us” competition.
“I walked the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show!” Martínez said on social media, expressing her excitement at being part of one of the fashion industry’s most iconic events. She also thanked designer Adam Selman, her fellow models, and everyone who helped make her participation possible.
Martínez reached the final of the competition alongside Solange Omon and Tatyana Tinsley. Omon was ultimately selected as the newest Victoria’s Secret Angel, while Martínez used the moment to celebrate her own achievement and encourage her followers to focus on gratitude and Dominican pride.
Her participation also generated significant attention online. Martínez gained approximately 28,000 Instagram followers, increasing from 514,000 to 542,000 after the competition’s outcome was announced.
The Dominican model had been among the favorites of some viewers, prompting an outpouring of support and criticism of the final result on social media. Some users even called for a boycott of Victoria’s Secret products.
Despite the outcome, Martínez emphasized the importance of celebrating her milestone and the opportunity to walk the Victoria’s Secret runway for the first time, marking another step in her international modeling career.
