With one week of the high school football regular season left to be played, seven Stark County teams have clinched a spot in the Ohio High School Athletic Association playoffs, according to joeeitel.com. Four others from area leagues also have clinched a playoff spot.
An additional five Stark teams and four other area teams remain in the postseason mix, and just nine area teams (seven from Stark) have been eliminated.
The OHSAA official final football computer ratings for the 2026 season will be released Sunday, Oct. 25. The top 12 teams in each region of the final report will qualify for the playoffs, with the top four seeds getting a first-round bye. The playoffs begin Friday, Oct. 30.
