CHARLES KAKULA DETAINED IN TANZANIA
In a dramatic turn of events, Charles Kakula has reportedly been apprehended by police at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. His arrival in the country comes alongside his Tanzanian-Spanish girlfriend, raising eyebrows and concerns as reports surface about the cancellation of his passport by Zambian authorities.
The exact circumstances leading to Kakula’s detention remain shrouded in uncertainty.
However, sources suggest that the cancellation of his passport is linked to his outspoken criticism of Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema. Speculation lingers on whether Zambian officials are orchestrating his arrest from abroad.
Kakula, widely recognized for managing prominent Facebook pages such as Hadodi Hachisanga the Return, Boogeyman Zambia, and Dodi the Big Politician, has become a symbol of resistance for those opposing the current regime.
There is growing concern that the Zambian government may be intensifying efforts to silence dissenting voices, creating an atmosphere of fear for those who challenge authority in the nation.
As the story develops, many are left questioning the implications of this detention not only for Kakula but for freedom of expression in Zambia. Stay tuned for further updates on this unfolding situation.-Kondwani the youth advocate
