Craig Conover has called himself a “storyteller” on Southern Charm and now has the chance to tell a steamy story in Charmed by a Southern Monster.
The Bravo Original scripted vertical microdrama premieres Monday, November 9, on the Peacock mobile app, with Nicole Mattox co-starring alongside Conover.
In Charmed by a Southern Monster, Conover plays Hunter Caldwell while Mattox plays Maeve Marchant. The series blends soapy romance, workplace rivalry, and small-town mystery.
The story follows Maeve, a brilliant corporate fixer sent to convince and seduce Hunter, a rumored murderer, into selling his family’s estate. But when she discovers that the town’s most feared man may actually be its most misunderstood, and the only person who can protect her from her dangerous ex-boyfriend, Maeve becomes entangled in Hunter’s world.
As family secrets and a billion-dollar development deal threaten to unravel their growing connection, she must confront her past and decide how much she’s willing to risk for love.
Peacock has been rolling out Bravo-created microdramas and premiered its first earlier this year: Campus Confidential: Miami. The unscripted series followed Georgia Gay, the daughter of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s Heather Gay, as she navigated life after leaving her sorority.
Bravo premiered its second vertical drama on the Peacock mobile app, Salon Confessionals, starring Southern Charm’s Madison LeCroy.
Charmed by a Southern Monster is Bravo’s third microdrama, but its first scripted one. The series premieres as Conover also returns for Southern Charm Season 12 on Thursday, November 12 at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
