Uzbekistan’s Migration Agency has announced vacancies for Uzbek citizens seeking official employment in Slovenia, with gross monthly salaries ranging from €1,277 to €3,800.
Employers from Slovenia will hold in-person meetings with candidates, workshops and job competitions in Bukhara, Samarkand and Tashkent on October 12-14.
The vacancies cover a range of professions, including heavy truck and international freight drivers, passenger transport drivers, truck mechanics, construction workers, craftsmen, heavy equipment operators, production equipment operators, electricians, forestry workers, maintenance staff, and administration and sales specialists.
Salaries vary depending on the position, with the announced amounts stated before tax deductions.
Employers will provide accommodation and cover visa and work permit costs, medical insurance and airport transfers. For some vacancies, they will also pay for airfare and meals.
Applicants must have relevant professional qualifications and work experience. Depending on the position, candidates may also need English-language proficiency, specialised certificates and a passport for international travel.
Slovenia has been seeking foreign workers to address labour shortages. In May 2025, it was reported that more than 1,500 Uzbek citizens who met professional and language requirements could find employment in the country. In July 2025, Slovenian employers also invited Uzbek doctors to apply for positions offering salaries of up to €25,000.
