A flabbergasting warning to delivery bikers! The Kuwait Ministry of Interior (MoI) demands your full commitments towards the traffic regulations to ensure the safety of the citizens and the visitors.
This notice is prepared for the ‘Prevention and Safety’ awareness campaign as a part of the campaign’s ‘Safety First’ theme.
With increasing delivery volume in the urban areas, authorities are intensifying the crackdown on dangerous driving that puts both riders and the general public at risk.
Important Traffic Tips Mentioned by MoI
Mandatory Lane Discipline: Delivery drivers must stay within the right hand lane at all times for the duration of the journey. Avoid all weaving in and out of active lanes and vehicles.
Safe Following Distances: The bikes need to keep a safe following distance to the bikes in front of them and sufficiently far enough behind to give riders enough time to react to anything.
Officially, the ministry emphasized the need for riders to halt fully behind vehicles at traffic signals on the red light, and clarified that filtering or overtaking stopped or queued vehicles to get to the front of the line is forbidden.
Ministry of Interior always keeps close watch on roads to decrease traffic accidents and improve the roads safety in Kuwait. All delivery companies or even individual delivery operators are advised to check these rules carefully with their vehicles.
