Kazakhstan is developing a dedicated artificial intelligence system for military personnel that is designed to keep all data entered by users within the system.
A total of 75 service members will take part in a training course, including conscripts from the Air Defense Forces and the Ground Forces.

Participants will learn «vibe coding» — using text prompts to create software and digital tools with AI. They will also learn to analyze large volumes of data, develop applications and automate routine tasks.
Why the military needs its own AI system
Data security is a key focus of the initiative. A specialized AI system for military personnel is currently under development, with the goal of ensuring that information entered by users is not transmitted outside the system.

The system is intended to allow service members to use AI while meeting requirements for protecting military information. No launch date has been announced.
«Our goal is to equip military personnel with skills they can apply in their daily duties. We teach them to create their own digital solutions for specific tasks — from analyzing data at the national and regional levels to automating workflows. The key is to show them how it works and help them overcome the initial learning curve so they can develop their own ideas independently,» said Sergey Pen, deputy chairman of the board for science, innovation and AI at Maqsut Narikbayev University (MNU), which is conducting the training program.
According to Maj. Gani Kurganbayev, AI can help service members complete work tasks more quickly, even if they have no programming experience.
«The program writes the necessary code itself; the user simply needs to formulate the task correctly,» he said.
The training is part of the AI-X program, which MNU is implementing as part of a three-year state experiment. Participants will receive certificates upon completing the course.
