The criticism did not stop there. The discussion soon made its way to the popular Korean online community Pann, where netizens shared even more critical opinions about the performance.

Several netizens argued that male idols are often treated differently from female idols when it comes to live singing.

They also criticized fans who defend their favorite male idols while shifting the blame onto female idols.

- “I listened to it, and yeah, it was pretty bad. If it had been a female idol, Shorts channels would’ve jumped on it immediately, and she would’ve been completely canceled.”
- “BTS got dragged for similar things too, lol.”
- “Female idols like KiiiKiii, MEOVV, and tripleS, who are only in the second or third tier and don’t have that many fans, get absolutely torn apart by Shorts channels to a downright bizarre extent if they make even a few mistakes singing live with no backing track. But male idols don’t get dragged even when they’re top-tier. The more I see it, the more bizarre it seems.”
- “Female idols can hit just one wrong note while singing, and people start questioning whether they even deserve to be singers, hurling all kinds of insults about their families and personal attacks at them. But even when male idols do something like this, it doesn’t become a big issue. Their boy-crazy fangirls hush it up while dragging female idols into it and trying to muddy the waters. What’s even funnier is that those same people constantly talk about women’s rights whenever they open their mouths, which makes the whole thing even more bizarre. They act like hardcore feminists normally, but the second their precious oppa gets involved, they suddenly turn a blind eye like crazy and play the role of a battered wife, personally undermining women’s rights themselves. These f*cking psychos.”
- “Male idols can be involved in gang rape, aggravated quasi-rape, or drugs and still be fine, but female idols are the ones fangirls turn into the most despicable bitches in history by scrutinizing them frame by frame. Don’t even try to understand them.”
