Alabama has suspended starting defensive back Dre Krikpatrick Jr. for Saturday’s game against Texas A&M game.
No other explanation was given.
Accordig to AL.com, Kirkpatrick has been a key contributor in the secondary this season as a rotational player who can fill in at safety or the “Husky” nickel defender position. He was also suspended for the final seven games of the 2025 season after an arrest in late October.
In addition, Alabama has ruled out center Racin Delgatty, defensive back Zabien Brown and running back EJ Crowell on Saturday, which was expected after all three had been listed as doubtful on Friday night.
The Crimson Tide had also ruled out two starters earlier in the week in receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams and defensive tackle Terrance Green.
Alabama (5-2, 3-2 SEC) has an open week after hosting the Aggies (4-3, 1-3), which will help but not for the game with Texas A&M.
Alabama has scored just three second-half points in its last two games, both losses. The Crimson Tide committed four turnovers and were 2 of 13 on third downs in last week’s loss to Tennessee.
