The much-loved Ibn Battuta Mall is set to be refreshed with a host of new retail and leisure experiences in 2027
It’s been a while since Novo Cinemas closed its doors at Ibn Battuta Mall. But film fans can look forward to a brand new cinema experience next year, as Roxy Cinemas is set to open at Ibn Battuta Mall next year.
In total, 38 new and upcoming openings are part of a plan to further enhance Ibn Battuta Mall, with 21 businesses already welcoming customers and a further 17 set to open by 2027.
Lights, camera, action

The new Roxy Cinemas will serve up the latest blockbusters from around the world, introducing an elevated movie-going experience that adds to Ibn Battuta Mall’s existing leisure line-up.
Although we don’t know which screens will form part of Roxy Cinemas Ibn Battuta, its existing screen tiers include Bronze, Silver and Gold, as well as Roxy Platinum, the ultimate luxury cinema experience; and Roxy Xtreme, which features the biggest screen in the Middle East and North Africa.
Beyond the cinema, Ibn Battuta Mall will also introduce Hopa Loopa Entertainment next year, described as ‘a major new leisure attraction for families’, so we can’t wait to check that out.
Dining destinations
In the coming months, new openings from Peet’s Coffee, Ocean Basket, Asia Kitchen and Smoothie Factory will join recent openings from the likes of Five Guys and Caribou Coffee, perfect quick pit-stops for between retail therapy.
Stores coming soon
Aussie-loved pharmacy Chemist Warehouse will open another new branch in Dubai at Ibn Battuta Mall, with fashion brands OWNDAYS and Puzzle Supplements also coming soon.
New and upcoming businesses spanning banking, healthcare, education and professional services include ADCB, Amit Care, Doctor M, Melodica and Desco.
