KUALA LUMPUR: UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd recorded sales of more than 24,500 units in the third quarter (Q3) of 2026.
This brings its year-to-date sales to over 60,800 units, UMW Toyota said in a statejent today.
The company said it remained focused on enhancing the Toyota ownership experience through greater convenience, digital engagement and wider access to mobility services amid evolving customer expectations and growing interest in electrified vehicles.
UMW Toyota president Datuk Ravindran K said the third-quarter performance reflected Malaysians' continued trust in Toyota and the strength of its ownership experience.
"As the market evolves, our focus remains clear. We want every customer to feel confident in their choice, supported in their journey, and assured that Toyota delivers value long after they leave the showroom.
"We are strengthening the Toyota experience around reliability, convenience and customer confidence, which matter most to our customers," he said in the statement.
To encourage greater digital engagement, UMW Toyota has resumed its Toyota MY App campaign from Sept 14 to Dec 31.
Under the campaign, customers will receive 500 Loyal-T Points upon registering on the app and another 500 points for each service booking made through the platform when sending their vehicles for servicing.
The campaign applies to both new and existing app users.
Meanwhile, UMW Toyota is expanding access to electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure through its Multi-Pathway approach, in partnership with chargEV and JomCharge.
The initiative will see 42 public EV charging points across 21 Toyota and Lexus locations nationwide rolled out in phases in the first half of 2027.
"Of the total, 38 charging points across 19 locations will be developed under chargEV, while the remaining four points across two locations will be provided through JomCharge," it said.
UMW Toyota added that seven sites had been completed, with the remaining locations to be rolled out in stages towards the full network target.
