KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Valley’s initial minimum temperature fell to 13.5 degrees Celsius on Thursday morning, down from 14.2 degrees Celsius recorded at the same time a day earlier, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.
The temperature was recorded during the Division’s initial observation at 5:45 am on Thursday, indicating a decline of 0.7 degrees Celsius compared with Wednesday’s early-morning reading.
However, the valley’s final minimum temperature on Wednesday was also recorded at 13.5 degrees Celsius, according to the division. The final reading is taken at 8:45 am, meaning the initial measurement may differ from the day’s officially recorded minimum temperature.
The final minimum temperature for Thursday is expected to be confirmed after the scheduled 8:45 am observation.
The change in early-morning temperatures provides an indication of the Valley’s evolving weather conditions, although a single reading does not necessarily signal a sustained cooling trend. Residents should follow the Division’s latest weather updates for further information on temperature changes and local conditions.
