Supertech Group has raised R30,000 through its Pink Party, with equal donations going to CANSA and Reach for Recovery to support people affected by cancer.
The Pink Party aimed at raising awareness, promoting early detection and supporting individuals and families affected by the disease.
The event, hosted under the group’s Supertech Cares initiative, brought together guests for a day of education, community engagement and fundraising, with proceeds shared equally between the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) and Reach for Recovery.
Each organisation received R15,000 to support its work in assisting people affected by cancer.
“The Pink Party was about bringing people together for a cause that touches so many lives. We wanted to create a space where awareness, education and support could come together, while ensuring our efforts translated into a tangible contribution,” said Riyah Ramjathan, the people and culture officer at Supertech Group.
“We are incredibly proud to donate R15,000 each to CANSA and Reach for Recovery, and we hope this initiative inspires more conversations, compassion and community involvement.”
The event featured expert talks and awareness discussions, highlighting the importance of understanding cancer, recognising the value of early detection and ensuring that patients and their families have access to support.
Guests also had the opportunity to connect with others in a positive and supportive environment.
Beyond the fundraising, the initiative aimed to encourage open conversations about cancer and highlight the role played by support organisations in helping patients and their families navigate the challenges associated with the disease.
Supertech Group hopes the event will encourage continued awareness, compassion and community involvement beyond a single event or awareness month.
