The prices of short eats, including paratha and egg roti, will be increased by Rs. 5 with effect from midnight today (21), according to the All Ceylon Canteen and Restaurant Owners’ Association.
The Association said the decision was taken following a Rs. 13 increase in the price of imported wheat flour.
Speaking to the media today (21), Association President Harshana Rukshan said the increase in wheat flour prices had prompted restaurant owners to revise the prices of several food items.
He stated that the Association had decided to implement a slight price increase to reflect the additional costs. (Newswire)
