But, the GTA 6 wanted system is going to have many more features, and one of them is going to be the ankle monitor. If you have spotted the Lucia’s ankle monitor in GTA 6 as well and want to know its relevance, then here is a quick guide for you.
What is an Ankle Monitor?
Ankle monitors are trackers used by the police when having someone under home arrest. This is generally given to minor criminals who either have a restriction charge on them or are out on bail., or under house arrest. This way, the police is able to track the person’s movement, while giving them some freedom.
While outside prison, it’s generally attached to criminals who show improvement in their behavior, but still are a possible threat to their surroundings. Seeing how Lucia and Jason dive right into the life of crime, Lucia’s ankle monitor definitely didn’t help much.
Story Significance of Lucia’s Ankle Monitor in GTA 6
The ankle monitor has been confirmed to play an important role in bringing Lucia and Jason close to each other in GTA 6. Although we don’t know the exact details yet, but seeing how Lucia will be released from jail in the first trailer, that’s likely when she will have the ankle monitor attached to her.
The new GTA 6 launch trailer also showed Lucia’s ankle monitor while both she and Jason where having an intimate moment in the shower.
From this information, we can safely guess that in the early part of the game’s story, Lucia will remain under house arrest. This may force Jason to do things solo, while taking care of her at home. That will obviously bring them closer to each other, as we clearly see them get romantically involved during this time.
The ankle monitor will also likely restrict Lucia’s movements for the early part of the game in GTA 6 map. Unless both of them find a way to circumvent the tracker.
