Ruben Amorim appears to have gone with a new formation for Milan’s upcoming Serie A clash away against Sassuolo on Sunday evening, swapping to a back four and re-introducing the in-form Diego Moriera to his starting XI.
The Rossoneri are unbeaten in Serie A under Amorim at the start of the 2026-27 season with three wins and two draws on their record over the first five league games of the campaign. They went into the international break with a 3-0 victory at home against Lecce.
Their hosts are looking to get back to winning ways after a 2-1 defeat away against Monza before the break, which leaves them with seven points from five games heading into today’s game at the Mapei Stadium.
Amorim has brought summer signing Moreira back into the starting line-up after netting three goals from his last two appearances, both of which came off the bench. Christian Pulisic keeps his place in the attack after a starring performance against Lecce before the break, with Goncalo Ramos leading the line at centre-forward.
Adrien Rabiot and Yunus Musah is the preferred pairing in midfield, Luka Modric starting amongst the substitutes. It appears to be a back four of Mario Gila, Matteo Gabbia, Strahinja Pavlovic and Pervis Estupinan.
Sassuolo have stuck with their trusted front three of Domenico Berardi, Armand Lauriente and recent Italy international Sebastiano Esposito.

Alberto Acquilaini has made two changes in total to the Sassuolo starting line-up, with Ignace Van der Brempt coming in at right-back and Vasilije Adzic coming into the midfield.
Kick off is due at 17.00 BST.
