Ranking a 4-2 or better team? It’s harder than it looks, according to former Patriots QB Tom Brady. That didn’t stop him from ranking his former team before a Week 7 matchup against the Bears.
Brady spoke with FOX to talk about his rankings for the week. The Bears ranked seventh. Where did he rank the Patriots, a team he won multiple Super Bowl rings with?
The Patriots, winners of three straight games, ranked fourth.
Brady started his explanation by saying: "In the Tom Brady Power Rankings, there’s a clear scenario for when the head-to-head tiebreaker applies. It's situations where I, Tom Brady, feel like applying it."
He praised Drake Maye, who hasn’t given up a turnover in two games and has thrown 10 touchdown passes in three games.
"He's (Maye) been on fire the last three games. He's calm in the pocket, making throws in big moments and taking care of the ball. Does this team remind you of last year's Pats all of a sudden? I think so," Brady said.
The Bills, an AFC East rival, were ranked at No. 5. Above the Patriots? The Vikings, Chiefs, and 49ers.
