Dr Musokotwane noted that the company has recorded more than a decade of continuous progress and that its success should be measured not only by dividends paid but also by growth in the value of its investment portfolio and its contribution to long-term economic transformation.
The Minister has since called on ZCCM-IH to pursue commercially viable investment opportunities that promote mineral value addition, local participation and creation of industries that create jobs.
He emphasized that the Government will continue to exercise shareholder oversight to ensure public investments are managed efficiently and transparently.

Mr Musonda disclosed that ZCCM-IH’s investment income increased by 40 percent in 2025, supported by returns from its investments, including Kansanshi royalties, Mamba Energy and Copperbelt Energy Corporation.
He added that investment in energy remains critical to Zambia’s ambition of increasing copper production to three million tonnes, noting that ZCCM-IH will outline its new 10-year strategy at its shareholders’ open day in November 2026.
The Board Chairperson added that the company’s growth ambitions are aligned with the national development agenda of growing Zambia through mining, energy and industrial development, and that it will work on its mandate to help formalise small scale gold mining bringing gold into the formal economy.
He noted that the dividend paid to the government will support public services and infrastructure, while the IDC’s share will contribute to industrial development and NAPSA’s portion will benefit workers whose contributions are invested for retirement.
