UCL: Mourinho reacts to Vinicius’ furious substitution against Roma

Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has described Vinicius Junior’s angry reaction to being substituted during their UEFA Champions League encounter with Roma as “normal”.

Vinicius was taken off for Endrick as Real Madrid fought back from a 3-1 deficit to secure a 4-3 victory over Roma.

The Brazilian forward appeared unhappy with the decision as he made his way to the bench, asking, “Why does he take me off?”

After the game, Mourinho was asked about the incident and he said: “It’s normal. Obviously it is something I do not like.

“But it’s normal for a player to be frustrated when subbed off.

“He was happy after the game.”
