- Specialised companies invited to bid for event-management contract, with submissions due on November 10, meeting set for Nov 2
The Kuwait Ports Authority has invited specialised companies to compete for a contract to prepare, organise and execute the opening ceremony of the Berth 5 rehabilitation project at Shuwaikh Port, creating a new commercial opportunity for firms providing event management and related services.
The tender is scheduled to be floated on Sunday, October 25, with a preliminary meeting set for November 2. The deadline for submitting bids is November 10, according to the authority’s tender announcement.
The contract covers the preparation and organisation of the opening ceremony rather than the rehabilitation works themselves. Participating companies must comply with the technical specifications and conditions outlined in the tender documents.
The authority has stipulated a final guarantee equivalent to 10 percent of the contract value. The guarantee must remain valid from its date of issuance until the contract has expired and the three-month maintenance and warranty period has been completed.
The tender is indivisible, meaning bids cannot be submitted for separate portions of the contract, and alternative bids will not be accepted. The contract period is set at 10 days from the issuance of the work commencement order. The order must be issued within 14 days of the contract signing, with the 10-day period allocated for preparation.
