The Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has led a delegation of party leaders to seek the support and blessings of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, and the Alaafin of Oyo ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The delegation, comprising five former governors, lawmakers, ministers and other APC leaders, visited the traditional rulers as the party began its nationwide campaign activities.

During the visit, the Olubadan pledged massive votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election and offered prayers for a successful electoral process.
The Alaafin of Oyo also expressed similar sentiments, while thanking the President for recent approvals benefiting the area.
Speaking during the engagements, Yari highlighted the achievements of the Tinubu administration, declaring that the APC would base its campaign on the President’s performance.
He said the party would present the administration’s record to Nigerians as it seeks another mandate in 2027.
The visits form part of the APC’s efforts to engage traditional institutions and mobilise support ahead of the next general elections.
