Jewellery

Boho beads, talismanic jewels and bejewelled brooches all made an appearance on the spring/summer 2027 catwalks, but the best jewellery moments owed as much to styling as to the pieces themselves. At Dries Van Noten, Julian Klausner made a case for piling on brooches; at Dior, Jonathan Anderson sent delicate chains trailing down one side of the body. Even the humble bangle found new territory, migrating above the elbow at Simone Rocha. There’s no need to wait until spring to try any of it. Here are three styling tricks to borrow now.
Asymmetry at Dior and Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood
Off-kilter styling with an all-about-you spirit was all over the Paris catwalks, particularly in the asymmetric approach to jewellery. Think colourful, Slinky-inspired drop earrings at Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood and, at Dior, delicate chains that dangled from one ear or cascaded down one side of shirts and tailoring.

Brooches belong anywhere, according to Dries Van Noten and Acne Studios, and should be layered up for maximum magpie effect. More is more when it comes to your grandmother’s go-to accessory.

Arm jewellery is on the up, as demonstrated by Eckhaus Latta and Simone Rocha, who placed bracelets and bangles above the elbow. Alexa Chung has adopted this approach on her summer holidays, while the ultimate pin-up for upper-arm eclecticism is Miuccia Prada.
