The finance chiefs at Doosan Group's holding company and its core affiliate Doosan Enerbility have both been promoted to vice chairman. An engineer by training has been named chief operating officer to oversee operations at Doosan Enerbility. The moves are seen as aimed at maintaining financial stability while strengthening technical execution and the competitiveness of core businesses amid rapidly shifting global market conditions.

Kim joined Doosan in 1989 and was promoted to executive director at Doosan in 2006. Kim serves on Doosan's board under a three-person co-representative structure alongside Doosan Group Chairman Park Jeong-won and Chief Business Officer Yoo Seung-woo.

Doosan Enerbility said the same day that Park Sang-hyun, president and chief financial officer, has been promoted to vice chairman, and that Song Yong-jin, president and head of the strategy and innovation division, has been named chief operating officer.
