MI5 chief lays out threats facing Britain

The head of MI5 has warned of rising threats from Iran and right-wing extremists, which are supercharged by AI.

In his annual speech outlining major threats to the UK, Sir Ken McCallum said hostile states are fuelling political violence by weaponising frictions in society. And he said Russia remains “aggressor number one.
