Henderson, who joined Chelsea on a free transfer in the summer after leaving Brentford, said: “It is an absolute privilege and honour to be playing with some of the players in this team.
“I'm just enjoying it, working with them every day and playing with them out on the pitch. There's some top quality, top talent, here, and I really feel like the team's beginning to take shape in terms of the togetherness and everything.”
Henderson, 36, added: “There's been a lot of new change in the summer – new coaching staff and players coming in – but I really feel that the togetherness is coming, not only in training during the week on the field, off the field as well.
“That's going to be important for us going forward and I'm loving every second of it.
“I know we've still got a lot to improve on as a team, but I feel as though in the last couple of weeks we're going in the right direction.
“So, we'll go back to the training ground and keep working hard for the next game.”
