Filmmaker Tribeny Rai’s upcoming feature film, A Chronicle of Minor Things, has won the APM Busan Award and the Sørfond Award at the Asian Project Market (APM), held alongside the Busan International Film Festival in South Korea.
Selected from a record 604 submissions across 48 countries, the project’s double recognition marks a significant milestone for Rai’s second feature film. The Sørfond Award has also earned her an invitation to Norway, opening up opportunities for international collaboration and co-production.
Rai and producer Kislay pitched the project at the Asian Project Market, a platform that connects filmmakers with international producers, financiers and potential co-production partners.
Hailing from Nandok in East Sikkim, Rai is known for telling stories rooted in the Eastern Himalayas. Her debut feature, Shape of Momo, premiered at the Busan International Film Festival in 2025 and received several international accolades, including the Grand Jury Prize at the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles.
