By Zoila Palma: Today, Prime Minister John Briceno met with World Bank Vice President for Operations Gallina Vincellete.
Discussions included Belize’s development priorities, particularly agriculture, energy, and sargassum management.
“We also discussed the importance of secure, reliable, and accessible data infrastructure to ensure small states like Belize are positioned to harness the opportunities of AI,” the Prime Minister said.
The PM is leading a high-level Belize delegation as they represent Belize at the 2026 Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Bangkok, Thailand.
