INIU Outdoor will release the Rugged 20000 on 1 November for £76.99, the second power bank in its new Rugged Series.
The Rugged Series marks INIU’s expansion into outdoor power under the INIU Outdoor name, a line that has partnered with Strava and serves as the official power partner of the American Hiking Society.
Within that series, the new model follows the Rugged 10000, which arrived on 9 October at £54.99, and doubles its capacity for hikers and campers who need to power more demanding kit across several days off-grid.
The extra capacity comes with 65W output, up from 45W on the smaller model, enough to cover lightweight laptops, action cameras and drones alongside everyday trail kit such as phones, GPS units and headlamps.
Port selection widens as well, with the larger power bank adding a USB-A connection to its USB-C ports for headlamps, radios and other accessories that still ship with USB-A cables.
Protection, weight and outdoor features
Both Rugged power banks share the same IP67 dust and water rating and 1.2m drop testing under MIL-STD-810G 516.6, so the higher capacity does not come at the cost of field durability.
The trade-off sits in weight, which rises to 353.2g from the 195.7g of the Rugged 10000, though the larger model keeps the same rounded silicone-armoured body for grip and scratch protection.
Its built-in light offers four modes, with steady white for camp tasks, steady red for preserving night vision and flashing red for staying visible to a group in low light among the settings.
Around camp, a detachable carabiner and a standard 1/4-20 tripod thread let the power bank hang from a pack or sit on a mount, while a sealed cover protects the ports from grit.
Beneath the shell, INIU Outdoor’s 18-Layer SmartProtect system guards against overcharging, overheating and short circuits, while an Automatic Low-Current Mode reduces output for earbuds and other low-power devices, and a five-year warranty covers the unit.
Pricing and availability
INIU Outdoor has priced the Rugged 20000 at £76.99, £22 above the smaller model, with sales opening through Amazon and INIU’s online store on 1 November and Target carrying it in the US.
Buyers planning longer off-grid trips can pair the power bank with INIU Outdoor’s Solar Panel 28W, which lists at £79.99, though the company describes that price as subject to change and has not confirmed a release date.
