Dar Al-Muhama Law Firm has been named Law Firm Leader of the Year at the LAW.COM Middle East Legal Awards 2026, recognising his leadership in the legal profession.
“Our experience should benefit our clients and the next generation of lawyers,” Al-Houti said following the award. Dar Al-Muhama continues to strengthen its contribution to the legal profession through professional training, knowledge sharing and collaboration with specialists. These efforts are aimed at addressing the evolving legal and commercial needs of businesses while supporting the development of legal expertise.
Alongside advising clients, the firm focuses on legal technology and artificial intelligence, collaboration in Islamic finance, practical legal training and engagement with in-house legal leaders. These areas reflect its emphasis on developing legal knowledge, sharing practical experience and responding to emerging issues facing businesses and the legal sector.
Reflecting on his approach to leadership, Al-Houti said the firm’s progress should be measured by the quality and practical value of its work. “I judge our progress by what happens in the firm itself. Have we understood what the client really needs? Have we given them advice they can use to make a decision? Is a colleague better equipped to take responsibility today than they were a year ago? Those are the questions I keep coming back to. Answering them takes sustained work,” he added.
Al-Houti said the firm also seeks to ensure that the knowledge gained through its legal work benefits a wider professional community. “Every matter we handle adds to our experience. We want that experience to reach further through practical training, useful insights and collaboration with specialists. That is the direction we are taking at Dar Al-Muhama, step by step,” he added.
Commenting on the recognition, Al-Houti acknowledged the contribution of his colleagues and the trust placed in the firm by its clients. “I am delighted to receive this recognition, and I know how much everyday work sits behind it. I thank my colleagues for their commitment and our clients for their trust and for the difficult questions that keep pushing us to improve,” he said.
