Govee’s new Outdoor Deck Lights 2 have been released in the US. Building on the original model, these smart lights use 16-bit IC chips and support the Matter smart home protocol.
The Govee Outdoor Deck Lights 2 have been released in the US. This 10-pack of smart lights is designed to be mounted on a wall or fence to brighten up an outdoor space. As the name suggests, the new version of the deck lights builds on the original model released in 2024.
Govee’s Outdoor Deck Lights 2 are equipped with 16-bit IC chips, capable of delivering over 16 million colors. The color and brightness of each of the ten RGBWIC lights can be controlled independently via the Govee Home app. Here, users can choose from more than 100 preset scenes, some of which can sync to music, or create their own lighting effects. As well as offering a wide range of different colors, the lights can also be adjusted for white color temperatures between 1,000K and 10,000K.
According to Govee, the new deck lights generate up to 1,500 total luminous flux, around 1,350 lumens of useful luminous flux. The Outdoor Deck Lights 2 also support voice commands with assistants like Alexa and Google Assistant, and Matter compatibility means they should integrate with many smart home ecosystems. Sitting on a 44 ft (~13.4 m) long string, these smart lights are IP67 rated for weather resistance, operating in temperatures between -4°F and 104°F (~-20 and 40°C).
You can now buy the Govee Outdoor Deck Lights 2 at the brand’s online store in the US for $119.99. However, the product is currently reduced to $99.99 at Govee’s Amazon US storefront; it is unclear how long this deal will last. The company has yet to announce whether or when these smart lights could be released in Europe.
