Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers came into their Week 6 matchup with the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs with an 0-5 record. It’s been an especially rough start to the season for Justin Herbert who has thrown seven interceptions and just five touchdown passes so far thiss eason. he’s having the worst statistical season of his career.
And in the first quarter against the Chiefs he took an accidental flying knee to the head from Chiefs’ cornerback L’Jarius Sneed. Herbert was trying to slide safely when Sneed gave a half-hearted attempt to jump over Herbert and kneed him straight in the helmet.

Sneed was, in fact, flagged for unnecessary roughness on this play and the Chargers ended up getting on the scoreboard with a field goal a few plays later. But this still pretty much sums up how the Rams entire season has gone. Even good faith attempts to do things the right way end in hilarious agony.

Things have gotten so bad that Herbert has found himself to be the subject of trade rumors. That seems unlikely considering how his coach and offensive coordinator feel about him, but when the season is going so poorly, people are going to talk.
The Chargers will have their bye next week before playing a road game at home against the Rams.
