After a rocky start to the 2026 season, the Cincinnati Bengals are on a much-needed bye week as they prepare for what they hope will be a steadier run the rest of the way.
A promising 2-0 start had many of us thinking this team might just be a legitimate Super Bowl threat, but the ensuing two-game slide poured some cold water on those hopes. And while they won Sunday in Miami, it wasn’t exactly an inspiring performance vs. a Dolphins team that may very well earn the No. 1 overall pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.
But 3-2 is still good enough that hope remains for what this team can accomplish if they simply clean up the unforced errors and find more consistency in all three phases.
