The Indianapolis Colts can’t seem to find their footing in the 2026 NFL season.
Indianapolis opened the campaign with losses to the Baltimore Ravens, 41-23, and the Kansas City Chiefs, 33-30, in overtime. The team then managed to turn things around with back-to-back wins over the Houston Texans, 19-17, and the Washington Commanders, 30-13, in London.
Colts Mascot Accused Of Crossing The Line After Questionable Sideline Interaction With Cheerleader
However, the turnaround didn’t last long. The Colts fell to the Pittsburgh Steelers, 34-22, before losing to the Tennessee Titans, 26-20, leaving them with a record of two wins and four losses.
Now, just as the team needs to regain ground in the standings, Blue, its own mascot, has unexpectedly found himself at the center of a controversy.
What happened with Blue, the Colts mascot?
In a video that has gone viral from Week 6, Blue can be seen approaching several members of the Colts cheerleading squad.
In one scene, the mascot bumps a cheerleader with his backside. He then grabs one of her pom-poms and kicks it. Later, he places his head underneath another cheerleader’s shirt while holding her from behind.
Although the actions appear to take place in a joking atmosphere, the cheerleaders’ expressions have raised questions among viewers. Some smile during the interactions, while their reactions at other moments appear to show confusion. The footage has also drawn criticism from fans who believe the Colts are facing mounting problems both on and off the field.
When do the Colts play again?
The controversy continues to draw attention, but the Indianapolis Colts will return to the field on Sunday, October 25, 2026, when they visit the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis for Week 7.
