Canadian freshman forward Rosalie Tremblay made up for lost time with the Wisconsin women’s hockey team, scoring four goals Oct. 17 in a 12-1 victory over Minnesota State at LaBahn Arena in Madison.
The second-ranked Badgers (6-2-0, 2-2-0 WCHA) were coming off a pair of losses to now-No. 1 Ohio State. Tremblay and defenders Ava Murphy and Emma Venusio missed that road series while at training camp with the Canadian national team.
Tremblay scored UW’s first goal 12 minutes 4 seconds into the afternoon game, added one in the second period and then picked up her third and fourth goals in a span of two minutes late in the third.
Senior forward Cassie Hall extended her goal scoring streak to eight games when she gave UW a 6-0 lead midway through the second period.
The Badgers put 62 shots on goal to 23 for the Mavericks (2-4-0, 0-4-0) and scored six goals in the final period.
In the series opener the night before, in which UW scored four goals in the third of a 5-1 victory, Slovakian freshman Nela Lopušanová managed four points on a goal and three assists.
